Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Pound the chicken breasts to a consistent ½ inch thickness.
- Beat the eggs and set them aside. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, combine the Panko, seasoned bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, and dried parsley.
- Dip each chicken breast into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- Next, dip the floured chicken into the beaten egg, then coat thoroughly in the bread crumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure adherence.
- Generously spray both sides of the breaded chicken with cooking spray and place them on a rimmed baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-28 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Notes
Ensure chicken is pounded to an even thickness for consistent cooking. For extra crispiness, you can lightly mist the chicken with cooking spray halfway through baking.
