Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, then drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning.
- In a large bowl, combine refried beans and salsa.
Layering
- Spread a thin layer of the bean mixture on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer three lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Add half of the seasoned beef, then half of the remaining bean mixture, and sprinkle with cheese.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, the bean mixture, and cheese on top.
Baking
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
This dish goes well with a side of tortilla chips or a fresh salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze for longer storage.
