  • 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 cup milk Use whole milk or cream for extra creaminess.
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Toppings
  • 1 cup chopped pecans Walnuts or almonds can be used as alternatives.
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows Optional; can substitute with a streusel topping.

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix chopped pecans with a sprinkle of sugar. Spread this mixture over the sweet potato layer.
  5. Optionally, add mini marshmallows on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  2. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with roasted meats or as a festive side dish. For storage, cover and refrigerate leftovers for up to 5 days, or freeze tightly wrapped for up to 3 months.
