Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, sugar, milk, melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix chopped pecans with a sprinkle of sugar. Spread this mixture over the sweet potato layer.
- Optionally, add mini marshmallows on top.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with roasted meats or as a festive side dish. For storage, cover and refrigerate leftovers for up to 5 days, or freeze tightly wrapped for up to 3 months.
