Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil sweet potatoes in a large pot until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and mash.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and beaten eggs. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in cinnamon and salt.
- Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix chopped pecans with remaining butter and brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
- (Optional) Add mini marshmallows on top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm as a side dish during holidays or family meals. Pairs well with roasted meats, green beans, or a fresh salad. You can also enjoy it on its own as a comforting treat.
