  • 4 pieces boneless pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Use freshly grated for best flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove from heat and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the chops.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make sure to let the pork chops sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cooking for even cooking. You can also add Italian seasoning or a splash of lemon juice for extra flavor.
