Preparation
- Boil the elbow noodles in a pot until they are almost done, then drain them.
- Cut half a stick of butter into small pieces and place it at the bottom of the crock pot.
- Add the drained noodles to the crock pot and stir in the evaporated milk, the remaining butter, beaten egg, regular milk, ham chunks, and 4 cups of cheese.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 1/2 hours.
- One hour before the cooking time ends, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and let it melt.
Notes
Make sure to cook the noodles just until they are al dente before adding them to the crock pot to prevent them from getting mushy. Adjust the types of cheese based on your preferences. Adding spices like garlic powder or paprika can enhance the flavor.
