  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 1 packet
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C)
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Filling
  • 1/2 cup cheesecake filling Store-bought works fine.
  • 1 cup diced peaches Use fresh or canned peaches.
  • 1 tsp cinnamon Adjust to taste.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let it sit until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, melted butter, and the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add the flour to form a dough. Knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shaping and Cooking
  1. Roll out the dough and cut it into donut shapes.
  2. Place diced peaches and cheesecake filling in the center, pinching the edges to seal.
  3. Fry the donuts in hot oil until they are golden brown.
  4. Drain the donuts on paper towels and glaze if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

To store leftover donuts, place them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. If you want to keep them longer, freeze them tightly wrapped.
