Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 225 g cream cheese, softened Make sure cream cheese is at room temperature.
  • 60 g granulated sugar Use 1/4 cup for mixing and additional for coating.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
For Coating
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and the remaining sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Gradually add the cream cheese mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  6. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon for the coating.
  3. Once the cookies are out of the oven, let them cool slightly, then roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. For extra indulgence, pair with ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or refrigerate for longer freshness.
