Main ingredients
  • 1 loaf 1 loaf of crusty bread (such as a French or Italian loaf) Use a good quality crusty bread for the best texture.
  • 8 oz 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup 1 cup cooked, chopped chicken Can use leftover chicken.
  • 1 cup 1 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with other cheeses like Monterey Jack.
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional) Adds a fresh flavor.
  • 1 tbsp 1 tbsp. chopped parsley (optional) For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the loaf of bread in half horizontally and carefully hollow out the inside of each half, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, chopped chicken, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing, and the optional green onions and parsley until everything is well combined.
  4. Spoon the mouth-watering mixture evenly into both hollowed bread halves.
Baking
  1. Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the bread is crispy and the filling is heated through.
  2. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

This dish is perfect for sharing, serve warm, and can also be dipped in your favorite sauces. You can prepare the filling and hollow out the bread a day before and bake just before serving. For extra crispy food, broil for a minute at the end of baking.
