For the Cheesecake Layer
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping You can make it dairy-free by using dairy-free whipped topping.
For the Layers
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers Use chocolate graham crackers for a chocolatey twist.
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling You can substitute with other pie fillings like blueberry or strawberry.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Can substitute with other nuts, such as almonds or walnuts.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  2. Mix in the lemon juice and fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  3. In a 9×13 inch dish, layer half of the crushed graham crackers.
  4. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the graham crackers.
  5. Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Sprinkle half of the chopped pecans on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled, cut into squares for easy serving. Pairs well with whipped cream, extra cherries, or pecans for garnish. Store covered in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
