  • 1 lb boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix together the bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour the bourbon mixture over the chicken and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the broccoli and cook until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions if desired.

Notes

This dish pairs well with rice or noodles. It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stove or microwave.
