Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a Bundt pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, shortening, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start with flour and end with flour.
- Mix in the vanilla extract just until combined.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan and bake for 60–75 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, or refrigerate for about a week. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
